I learned how to make soap with sodium hydroxide and a bunch few different types of oils. The resulting soap made my skin shine like it never has before. So I looked at the ingredients of the soaps I was using before and they were a bunch of acids. It seemed like the Proctor & Gamble's of the world prioritized cheaply-made, artificially sudsy soap over soap that actually fortifies your skin. Whatever. People like cheap stuff.
